Quality of life surveys often take stock of ame-nities such as housing, recreation, employ-ment, the environment, income and low crime rate. Washington County o ΍ ers all of these and so much more! For Blair Area Chamber of Commerce Execu-tive Director Jordan Rishel, there are three main considerations most people are interest-ed in: quality of the schools in our area, access to medical care and location! Over the past several years, the chamber has ȴ elded dozens of requests from both businesses looking to expand in the area, as well as those who want to make their home in Washington County. In the county, all of these key elements are met – and exceeded. Washington County boasts access to three school systems, Arlington, Blair and Fort Calhoun Public Schools, of which are all top notch! Combine that with numerous second-ary schools within close proximity, and it’s a winning combination. Visitors, residents and businesses have easy access to Washington County via highways, railroad, boats and our local airport.
